It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Early Saturday morning Aaron and I left for Boston. We had tickets (thanks Dad) to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Wang Theatre. I had never been to that theatre before, but I have to say, it was absolutely amazing. The musical itself? I can't even begin to explain. The Grinch is my favorite holiday movie and I was so psyched to see it in Boston. Every year, I try to go to at least one Christmas themed show, last year it was the Nutcracker. This year; a dream come true.

We had originally planned to go straight to a bed and breakfast after the show but, due to weather conditions, we decided to cancel our reservation and just hang out in Boston for the day, going home afterward. We walked all around Boston, stopping at Boston Common to watch the ice skaters and ventured to Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market to have a nice late lunch at an authentic Irish Boston Pub, do some shopping, and watch the street performers. It was very, very cold but the walking kept us warm and there was so much to see. The street's were beautifully decorated for the holidays; Christmas trees, lights, and wreathes everywhere. All the street the musicians were playing Christmas songs. I could not have asked for a better day.

Pictures from today: I apologize for the quality, like I've said, we need a new camera. I also have an eye infection which made it a bit more difficult to view the musical as my vision isn't as clear in my glasses but never-the-less, an A+ day!

At the Wang where cameras were not permitted. Oops :)

At Boston Common watching the ice skaters. It was cold!

I am glad you guys had a great time!

We have been to the Wang once to see Rugrats Live. Beautiful theater but I assume that I would have much preferred your show :)
