It's really hard to believe I've been out of high school for almost 12 years. I am getting O.L.D!

Yes, two people.

Yes. I drove my best friend (at the time) Jenny to school every morning. She *always* made us late. I hated being late (I still do!)

A Saab 900 Turbo. That was an amazing car!

2008 Subaru Outback- PZEV. The first brand-new-car I have ever purchased!

I worked for Webber Energy Fuels. I kept that same job all through my undergraduate work-- I ended up being there 7 years! I loved customer service!

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor AND a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I work with kids 12-22 providing substance abuse treatment; I specialize in group therapy

And I am an Adjunct Professor at New Hampshire Technical Institute.

Nope. I was a bit of a loner-- not in an Emo type way but, I just had a lot going on and a lot of responsibility.

I have just started to gain back the self-esteem one loses in high school. I would go back as I am now and *maybe* do it again. As I was then? No, I was too weak and impressionable.

Not really. I felt those things were obligatory. I did it for my parents and because I thought I would regret if I didn't. Now, as an adult, I am indifferent about those events.

I haven't had a ton of time to blog lately, for obvious reasons, so here is something quick and easy (and FUN!)

I never have nor will I ever. I don't have the patience for video games and I think they are a waste of time.

Bing- he is just such a good boy. I can't even put into words how much I love him.

11:30. Aaron and I became engrossed in a game of 20 questions. I won; he couldn’t guess mine- one of my favorite stores- Urban Outfitters.

I really love where I am now and the life I've created here but, I would absolutely love to move back to Maine. I miss it so much. Thank God for my camp!

Hmmm, I can't recall. It has been years since I've willingly gone to the fireworks (they are so toxic to the environment.) Oh wait, yes. They had fireworks at Tanglewood a few years ago and Aaron kissed me.

Most days I do. I'm not a huge fan. I go through spells and I do like a handful of shows, but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if the TV died.

12. What websites do you always visit when you go online? Every morning when I get online I go to my email account, then my facebook, then the 10 blogs. Then I check my work email to see what time I said I'd come in. Then I usually change that time to a half hour later, finish my coffee then peel myself off the couch and get stuff done.

I live: In a very cute 3- story apartment with hard wood floors and stained glass windows. I love it, but I can’t wait to have my own home and spend hours each week looking at MLS listings.
I work: Very, very hard about 50 hours per week. I love my job but spend way too much time working.

I rode: My bike with Aaron last summer, which was a huge mistake. I haven’t used those muscles in forever. He had to push my fat ass up a small incline (an embarrassingly small incline) while he was riding his bike behind me. People were driving by and honking. I almost threw up and Aaron’s pulse rate didn’t even increase, (my heart was beating so fast that my eyeballs were throbbing.) I could, however, probably out-run him. HA! We all have our strengths.


I sometimes: Get up in the middle of the night and come downstairs to read.
I fear: The phone call that tells me my Pepe has passed away, and I hope it does not come soon.

I hope: I can plan the wedding I want to have on the budget I have set aside.

I dream: Every night and unfortunately remember my dreams which indicates that I don’t make it through my full sleep cycle.
I kiss: My dogs several times per day, way more than I kiss Aaron
I hug: Reluctantly. Most of my coworkers know I don’t like showing affection, and threaten to hug me when they think I’m stressed out or when they’re stressed out say “I know you don’t do hugs, but can I please have one from you, I really need one?” Sigh, Fine- come here…
I have: A savings bond from 1989 that’s worth $61.87. I’m going to wait to cash it in when we have a down payment for a house.
I remember: All of my credit/debit card numbers and expiration dates… just in case.
I don't: Understand why I am so hard on myself about a lot of things. I wish I was able to half-ass things more instead of being a perfectionist and beating myself up when things don’t go perfectly.

Sixes Meme

Much to some of my readers dismay, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE memes. I think they are the best cure for writers block. Sometimes it's such an easy "out" for me when I don't feeling like using real material.

Did I mention I love Memes, or Tag as others call it?

I was tagged by my sister for the sixes meme. What you do is go to your sixth picture folder, open your sixth picture, post it and blog about it!! Great idea! Except, I don't have a sixth picture in my sixth folder. This caused me so much distress. Last night, during American Idol, I was using all sorts of math equations, counting diagonally, anything, to find a sixth picture in some form of a sixth folder; but alas, I kept coming up dry. So, this morning, I decided I'm just going to post the sixth picture in the first folder that has one.

I'm a little embarrassed this happened to be the picture, but trust, it could have been much worse ;) This is a Halloween decoration I made last year. I had some serious down time after my surgery and Aaron had brought me to the Christmas Dove in Barrington. I saw this exact banner in the store selling for about $25. I thought, with a little construction paper and newsprint, I can do that. Low and behold, after investing in a few stickers at JoAnn's, I made a duplicate for about $3.

Christmas Meme II

1. Do you put up outdoor Christmas decorations?
Yes we do. Last year we got a little crazy with the lights and garland, so this year we toned it down a bit to save electricity.

2. Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie?
Not really. Occasionally my mother will make me raspberry filled cookies for which I go NUTS. I also like those cookies one often finds at holiday parties with the Hershey's kiss in the middle.

3. What is the best gift you ever gave someone?
I gave my sister a pretty sweet faberge egg once upon a time.

4. Do you like fruitcake?
Nope.

5. What is your least favorite Christmas song?
"Christmas Shoes." I hate, hate, hate that song. If the family is so poor why not buy Mom a nice dress? The shoes just seem like an impulse buy to me.

6. Do you go to church on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day?
Big sigh. No. I really would love to start going to church again (my church-- you converters out there) but alas, I don't have anyone to go with and the House of God is a lonely place for a sinner.

7. Do you hang Christmas stockings? Where?
We don't hang them but we drape them over the couch.

8. Do you truly believe "it's the most wonderful time of the year"?
I say that about every holiday. I try not to play favorites... but I do have some really nice decorations for Christmas.

9. Have you ever worn a Santa hat?
I think when I was a kid but not since then.

10. Are you more like Scrooge or Father Christmas?
I am Scrooge meets Grinch and has a baby.

11. Do you hang mistletoe?
Real mistletoe is poisonous to animals and I don't like the way fake mistletoe looks. So, no.

12. Does Santa wrap presents or just place them under your tree?
Um, Santa wraps them all beautifully with bells and bows, sparkly ribbons and tissue paper. Santa even wraps each item in my stocking. He knows I get very angry if things aren't wrapped.

13. Can you ice skate?
Yes and I just got a brand new pair of ice skates for Christmas last year. Thanks Mom!

14. Do you love snow?
Yes! I love, love, love, snow. I live in New England. Of course! I like snow best when it is clean and doesn't show any footprints.

15. Which do you prefer-- giving or receiving?
I love giving- but receiving is also fun. Is that a trick question?

16. Candy Canes-- yuck or yum?
Yuck! I hate peppermint. I don't like mint- true story.

17. The 3 best things about Christmas?
The feeling of the holiday, spending time with friends and family, and going to the mall a few days before Christmas when I'm all wrapped and ready to go, getting a coffee and laughing at how angry people are- they just don't get the point of the season.

18. What type of decoration should stop being made?
Okay 2 things: 1. Blue Christmas lights. I hate those. They hurt my eyes. Personally, I think colored lights are tacky, but forgivable. But blue lights? Come on people. 2. Those big, inflatable lighted things people have on their lawn that last about 2 days then lay there all limp.

19. Do you listen to 24/7 holiday radio?
Yes! After Thanksgiving, game on!

20. Rudolph or Frosty?
Frosty- obviously. I only have about 800 snowmen. My sister is OBSESSED with Rudolph, so I'm a little burnt out on him.

A Christmas Meme

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I like the look of wrapping paper, but I also utilize gift bags, decorative tins, and baskets for that hard-to-wrap gift. I really spend a lot of time on the presentation of each gift; curly ribbons and such.

2. Real tree or Artificial? One of each. I have a beautiful (read: expensive) artificial one for inside due to the fact I am allergic to real ones, but I have a real one on the front porch.

3. When do you put up the tree? The day after Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving night, depending on how much we ate :)

4. When do you take the tree down? It's bad luck to take it down before January 1st.

5. Do you like eggnog? Light Eggnog. The fatty stuff is too rich for me. Although, a few shots of Captain Morgan will cut the sweetness- hehehe.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Either my pink hug-a-bunch with "pink hair and a pink dress," or my piccolo. Come on, what band geek wouldn't love a new musical instrument beneath the tree?

7. Hardest person to buy for? Dan, my step-father, simply because if you get him something that he doesn't like, or won't use, he'll tell you right then and there. No facade. It's a bit intimidating. But I am 0 for 9 right now, so wish me luck this year.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? A star. Growing up my parents had an angel. It was crocheted and dipped in sugar water to make it stiff. My sister and I would always lick it and get yelled at.

21. Presents on Christmas Eve or morning? 1 on Christmas Eve, then the rest when we wake in the morning. BUT-- stockings first!!! Then we each do one and alternate. There is a method to it. I am really good about keeping secrets (duh!) but my poor sister, that's another story. She will literally bust at the seams. She loves to GIVE gifts and can barely contain herself until you open hers.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? How commercialized it's become. Oh and how awkward people are about being politically correct. It's like they wish you a seasons greeting in the form of a question. "Merry Christmas?" No, moron, I just have 40 million bags in my hand, and a blinking Santa pin attached to my snowman turtleneck as I sing Joy to the World. I do this every day of the year!

1-2 hours, depending on which kid is having a crisis.

In that case, the most conflicting personality types would be: Nicki, Wally, Dad, Aaron, Aaron's brother Matt & his partner Nelson, Linda Molloy, Dan, My friend Patrick, and Heather K.

If you never had to worry about money again what one cause would you donate the most time and money to? National Marrow Donor Program, and the SPCA.

How many times have you moved in your life? 7

Where did you meet your significant other? I was interning at CFS- he was the caseworker, I was lined up to be his boss, and thankfully he resigned. That would have been interesting and fairly unethical.

What is your most expensive habit? Traveling.

Do you hit the snooze button or get up as soon as the alarm goes off? Aaron says he has become accustomed to sleeping in 9 minute intervals. I heart snooze buttons.

What did you have for dinner? Last night? 3 sips of chicken noodle soup, half a glass of ginger ale, 3 saltines and the ear off of a chocolate Easter bunny.

What is something you love to do but feel like you never have enough time to do it? Be outside, garden, read, write, do crafts, play with the pups, see friends and family, travel, work.

What brand of shampoo do you use? I only use Paul Mitchell products.

What is your favorite candy? Anything choc/peanut butter or choc/raspberry. Although I am known to like sucking on hard clove candies.

Who was your first boy/girl friend? Suni Sukduang 332-8744. I loved that boy. We were together for 8 years, but broke up in the 4th grade (we went to different schools and long distance relationships were hard to maintain at 10 years old.)

How much time do you spend on the phone on a daily basis? As little as possible. Maybe 1 hour (including work calls.) I hate the phone, I hate it, it's stupid... Alexander Graham Bell is my arch enemy, I hope he dies. (oh wait he is dead.) The phone is such a point of contention between me and my peoples (friends, family) I hate it, I feel useless just sitting there talking into a piece of plastic. Don't call me, Ill call you.

Do you crack your knuckles? Yup, Carpals meta-carpals and phalanges.

What was the last book you read? I started Pieces of My Sisters Life on the plane but didn't get too far. I'm not much of a reader these days. I have to read so much for work so it loses it appeal for me. I do read Yankee Mag cover to cover each month as well as Dog Fancy and Readers Digest. I read US Weekly every week too. Does that count? And I read 13 blogs per day!
