Dogs, cats on Ebay, and Birthdays...

On Friday, we brought the dogs to the Vet for their physical and vaccines. They did very well, except Manny, who Mike Vetter (the Vet, ironic, I know) reported is too fat. We need to scale back his food even more. Poor thing, I already buy special weight management food that costs an arm and a leg- and he hates it. Bing just loves to go to the vet because they LOVE him there, Manny on the other hand won't walk, runs for the door, and whimpers the entire time. He HATES it- but so would I if I were him... every time we go, he gets less and less to eat- he probably correlates the two.

Shredda had to go also, it was time for her annual physical and rabies vaccine. She too is getting heavy and she actually weighs more than Bing. So, the entire household was at the vet except Rocko, who isn't due until March. He is however, set up to get another haircut in a few weeks, so he isn't completely in the clear.

Both super canines heading for the door.

Ah, dog people. We are a crazy breed, who go a bit overboard accessorizing for our animals comfort. I saw this car in the parking lot. Not sure who it belongs to, but they are my hero.

Aaron and I had to go to the vet separately, but were both there at the same time. Clearly, we need a life.

hehehe...I am so cruel... but how cute is that?

Aaron was taking some pictures of shoes to sell on E-bay. Ms. Shredda climbed in the box and made herself at home (probably still angry from going to the Vet's.) If she doesn't behave we just might sell her on E-bay too ;)

On Sunday we celebrated Matt (A's brother) and Linda's (A's mother) birthdays. It was a lot of fun... and of course we did a whole lot of eating. We had pork and lamb with stuffing, wine, Greek green beans, salad and a mushroom and rice concoction that was to die for. For dessert? Matt made a 22 layer crepe cake with dark chocolate in-between each layer. OMG! While there, we began to finalize our plans for this summer. We are going to Tanglewood and seeing Yo Yo Ma!!! Yay! I love him and have always wanted to see him. We also found out that Nelson (Matt's partner) might be moving to Dublin, Ireland for his job. It would only be for a year or so, but you know what that means?! Christmas in Kilarney!

I'm quite sure I'm thinking "Jessi, if you eat one more bite, I will kill you."

Linda, opening the Nigella Lawson cookbooks we got her. (We love Nigella)

If you are wondering what Matt is holding, it is Bon Bagai- Haitian Art. This spring, I will be helping with a showing of this art; a friend of mine is a dealer and collector. He purchases the art from Haitian Artists, brings it back to the States and sells it- sending all the proceeds (minus his expenses) back to Haiti. He has done wonderful things for the community. I have several pieces in my home and office... if you want to know more, email me, but I will provide details in a later posting... as soon as we get this event going!
