Wednesday, Oui

I broke my arm when I was 4-years-old. My parents were working, so my sister and I were being watched by our Uncle and baby-sitter. No one, except Nicki, believed that I had broken my arm. I was crying and crying and crying for help. My sister kept pressing them to call one of my parents at work, but they were too busy; quite possibly because they were making out instead of watching a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old.

My dad didn't get home until around 8:00pm. When he examined my arm, which had been broken for hours, he rushed me to the hospital for an x-ray. Sure enough it was broken, badly.

I know, you all must be thinking; "This is so sad, poor little girl breaks her arm and then her sister is ignored while she tries to get help... how can this possible be a Wednesday, Oui?!"

Well folks, I have always been able to find the silver lining. While I was in the hospital my sister went to get me a "prize." (The word "prize" in our family has a very special and significant meaning, one I will perhaps discuss with my sister's permission at a later date) My prize? A snoopy sno-cone machine!!! Just like the one I am holding below. My sister bought this for me, to help me feel better, and we really had some good times trying to make sno-cones.

Love you Demus!!!
