Wednesday, Oui?

Not much to report on this beautiful Oui day. Our life has been so full lately (busy, busy, busy!)

Over Labor Day weekend we went back up to camp for the last visit of the season. It's always sad to leave camp for the last time and, although we'll most likely go up to visit for the day (fall kayaking is my favorite and we plan to go ice-skating) we won't stay overnight. While the camp is equipped with a woodstove and propane heater, once it gets too cold and the water freezes we won't have a toilet.

All in all I calculate we spent 20 nights there this season; great times and wonderful memories. Here are some photos from our last visit this season.

We found a baby snapper lost and wandering in my mother's driveway. We had to save him.

Then we went kayaking in a bog across the street from her farm.

Later that night, my sister and Rich came by with the kiddos.

Uncle Aaron looks like a vampire in this one.

The next day, Sunday, we went to Windsor, Maine for the fair that was going on there. It's probably one of the most historic fairs I've been to. There aren't a lot of rides so, instead, there are buildings you can tour that showcase the history of Maine. But, of course, before we arrived there we had to check out Hussey's. Any general store that sells guns and wedding dresses requires you to stop. I even did some Christmas shopping!

We had a picnic when we arrived at the fair and this frog joined our picnic.

And finally, time to pull the dock in for the year :(

It's sad for the season to come to an end but, I am always reminded how lucky we are to have a place to go to when we need to get away from it all. Oui are very blessed!
