Maple syrup favors: Aaron and I made the syrup at the farm earlier in the year.
Our "sons" not only had tuxedos (which had to be shipped in from overseas because I couldn't find any in America that I liked, LOL) but they also had a birch branch cage made especially for the day to keep them safe and cozy!
The carrot cake cupcakes were lovingly made by my "brothers" Matt & Nelson.
Every part of the day was decorated exactly how I wanted it, down to the tables being named after hikes Aaron and I have taken together.
The end of the chair rows had cranberry mums and the ground was sprinkled with flower petals and pine cones. My Step-father collected bags and bags of pine cones for our day. This all led up to the heart shaped arbor under which Aaron and I stood to say our vows. Our good friend Jason even cut small saplings to plant beside the arbor.
My mother-in-law made the centerpiece for the cake table. Gorgeous!
Each place card was a plantable seed packet; you could plant the entire thing and grow flowers out of it. The tables were decorated with acorns (acorns have a special meaning to Aaron & I)
And what would my wedding be without cotton candy? Each guest was given cotton candy, made right at the reception to enjoy (much to the objection of our sticky caterers- bless their hearts.)
