Say What? Christmas in July

While out and about with Aaron's family over the weekend (we had a blast) my father-in-law Jim, A.K.A: McPepe the Great, said two hilarious things.

1. MP: "Jess, you need to get back into blogging; this one-blog-every-five-days just isn't cutting it."

Hence the Sunday night blog. **(Jim, the adoration is mutual because you're the ONLY person who can call me "Jess" and get away with it.)

2. Later in the evening he was talking about a couple sitting near our family (Me, Aaron, Matt, Nelson and Mom) and, by the way he was talking, I couldn't tell if they were friends of his or not.

MP: Yeah so, (motioning to the couple in question) ______ is when we'll see them again.
Jessi: Oh. (Slyly taking a glance at the unsuspecting couple) Do we like these people?

MP: Let me put it this way, if I had an extra Christmas card leftover after writing them out I would send them one. But, only if I had one left.

I am SO going to use that analogy in the future. That is brilliant and so true.

McPepe and I dancing to his "theme song." He was mad at me for dragging him onto the dance floor but, he did it anyway :)
