Dot... Dot... Dot

Rewind to last night:

It's midnight, much past my normal bedtime. I'm reading the end of a book I can't put down and Aaron comes into the bedroom after falling asleep on the couch while watching the Tour de France.

A: Today is the day.
J: (I look at the clock. It's exactly 12:01 AM on Thursday July 15. I scan my brain. Is it a birthday? An anniversary of something? The mortgage is due, but he knows I pay that way ahead of time?) Um, for what?
A: Today starts my new life make-over.
J: What do you mean?
A: I'm turning over a new leaf today.
J: I see (feigning seriousness) And would that new life include me?
A: Of course.
J: (playfully sarcastic) Lucky me.

Fast forward to 8:00 AM this morning.

Aaron is sleeping in a bit. I hear the alarm from the den where I'm working on the computer and walk across the hall to the bedroom. Bad Romance by Lady GaGa is the anthem of the morning [he uses music for the alarm instead of the beep.] I shut it off by hitting the snooze, a favor for which he is usually grateful.

A: Heyyyyyyyyyyy!
J: (Surprised, he NEVER complains when I give him the snooze courtesy) What?
A: Well, I like that song, Ra Ra, Sisss boom bahhhh, Ra Ra Sissss boom bahhhh... And (triumphantly) today is the day.
J: You're still on that one from last night, huh?
A: Yep. I gotta get up and get started.

I'm afraid to ask.

I can tell you, right this very instant, he's a tornado downstairs cleaning and making me a feast of a breakfast while singing. I'm frightened but, while he's at it, there are a few things he could do around the house for me today.
