We had a wonderful time celebrating with the family and, of course, had lots and lots of food and lots and lots of wine. After dinner we headed over to the Molloy house to spend some quality time with Linda & Jim (Aaron's parents) Matt & Nelson (Aaron's brother and his partner), and Lou (Aaron's Grandmother, who is the cutest, funniest woman I have interacted with recently.) Unfortunately, I was unable to take any pictures of the event as my camera batteries were dead.
Friday and Saturday, I lounged around the house... well, actually, that's a lie. I took down all the Fall/Harvest/Thanksgiving decorations and put up the Christmas/Winter ones. Aaron spent some time cleaning up his Grandparents house, and we ran some errands, (or "Aaron's" as I like to call them.)
Saturday night we ventured to Portsmouth to celebrate my brother-in-law's 29th birthday at Olive Garden. We ate too much, and again I had a little too much wine [am I on the cusp of alcoholism? No, it's just because of the holiday's- wait, I am already making excuses- *warning sign* ;)]
Today, Aaron and I woke up early and went out to breakfast and shopping for groceries. We were at the grocery store around 9:30- symptomatic of getting old. I spent the afternoon decorating the porch, stringing up the lights and such, while Aaron went on a nice long bike ride on a BEAUTIFUL day.
Not really much more to report, but it was a lovely holiday weekend. I got to see my family and spend lots of time with Aaron's crew, put up all my decorations, and spent some quality time at "241 South Main" with my little family. I have nothing to complain about.
Me & my spousal equivalent.
Happy 29th dog-harness-inventor, dutifully puts up with your annoying sister-out-law, trench coat wearing, sword-builder man. We love you!
As if we hadn't done/eaten/cooked enough this week, we decided to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch tonight.
Can someone please tell me how many cookies are in a baker's dozen?? Aaron and I have a little bet going on. I say 12- he says 13... HELP!?!?
We must have had sugar high because we got a little silly with the camera. Seriously though, I am grateful to have Aaron in my life. He loves me so much and tells me so everyday.
Last but not least- the tree. In case your wondering- it's fake. Both Aaron and I are allergic to pretty much everything, so we have a fake- but it's gorgeous!

So ill leave my comments in order of your blog. I am guilty of saying Aarons instead of errrrrrands, hehehe just thought i'd share. A bakers dozen is 13, I guess they like to have a spare incase one gets screwed up. The pic's of the family OG are cute!! Also, your tree looks so nice and full. I have a fake tree aswell, its 5 years old now and kind of ugly. I should upgrade to a pretty one like yours. :) Maybe next year.
Dang! 13 huh? Dang! I lost a bet. I hate to be wrong! You should see us play Jeopardy every night!
hehe I was going to tell you it was 13, why didn't you just call me, I mean i am the best cook of the family ;)
It was the best to see you guys and I can't wait till the 15th (we are going to try to sleep over)
I AM THE GREATEST. And you should all know this was not a competition on my end. I just happened to say because I was not sure myself, "why don't they just call it a dozen then?".
Hahahahaha you think that Aaron, but ok well I am not going to sound like my dad so I will share the title with you ;)
Your father cracks me up...the outfit...oh man!
Xander is my favorite, non-blood related kid in the whole wide world! Actually, he is my very favorite 4 year old in the whole wide world! We are all so lucky to be blessed with such an amazing little man!
And Rich...who doesn't love Rich (and he has a pretty rockin' wifey too). :)
I am slowly making my way through your blog...I am fascinated! You are an amazing writer, Jess! Mrs. McCabe would be so proud!
