April Vacation: Day 5

On Wednesday, the hottest day of vacation, Aaron and I went to a local pond, Turkey Pond and kayaked all around it. The water was so calm, the sun was shining, and the skies were a blue I haven't seen all winter. We were wearing nothing but our bathing suits!!

On the water we spotted several cormorants, and docked on an island to explore. Turkey Pond shares acreage with the beautiful and elite St. Paul's Prep School, and the NH Audubon Society. It's an area that's hardly developed and little touched. Absolutely gorgeous. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the St. Paul's Crew team's practice.

I am so glad Aaron enjoys the sport, as it means so much to me; to be on the water, paddling. I have been a kayaker for the past 11 years and have an Old Town Otter, the perfect kayak for a little person. Aaron surprisingly, is new to the sport so he doesn't have his own... yet. Our friend Ryan lent us his. Thanks, Ryan!!

How does one end the perfect day? A perfect meal, of course. Aaron and I met Jim & Linda (Aaron's parents) at Margarita's in Concord. We ate and ate and ate, and I am please to inform you, I had my first margarita. A raspberry one. Loved it! It was a great end to an amazing day!
