April Vacation: Day 2 & 3

After we got back from our trip to NY, both exhausted and sun-kissed, we slept in on Sunday and then did yard work. All. Day. Long. I had a laundry list of projects I had hoped to complete, and wanted to get them done before the rush of planting and gardening began. We raked the whole yard, made 3 trips to Lowe's, cleaned our cars, shaved Aaron's head, and had a nice dinner outside at our outdoor table. The weather, like Saturday, was unseasonably warm so we took full advantage of it.

On Monday we had a loose plan of what we wanted to get done, and mostly it involved exploring Concord. We woke up early and walked "down-town" where we had a nice breakfast at a cafe on Main Street. We wandered around downtown, and then I retreated to the hammock in the back yard while Aaron decided to go for a nice long ride.

It's funny that sometimes the coolest things are right under your nose. I have lived in Concord for 3 years but have done little exploring. Here were several granite sculptures right in our back yard!!

After Aaron's ride, my sunbathing and reading, and exploring Concord early in the AM, Aaron and I called it a day by having a nice dinner on our patio and playing a game of chess. Once he mercilessly kicked my butt I made him take me out for the first ice cream of the season, just to keep the peace ;)
