A Oui from me, Toby!

Hi Folks, Toby here. I just figured I'd sign on to wish my Mama and Daddy a Happy 3rd Anniversary. As you can see, in preparation of tonight's festivities, I'm wearing my Sunday best. I've even tried a little something new with my hair; it's my understanding that what I've done is called "spiking."

I have a great night planned for my parents. I figure it's the least I can do given that if it wasn't for them being married and all, I probably wouldn't be here. So, I have tonight all planned out.

When Daddy gets home from work, Mama and I will give him the pictures of me that were taken last weekend. Oh yeah, and there's a stiff piece of paper that we're supposed to give him too. I really don't get it but, Mama put a funny object in my hand and had me do something to it with a color. Then she closed it up kind of like a book and put it in a paper blanket. (I'm going to whisper what she did next because I don't know if what she did next was something I should have seen) she licked it all around the edges!! I won't tell Daddy if you don't!

Then I plan on sitting at the table with them while they have what Daddy calls a "romantic dinner." He mentioned a menu but I admit that I wasn't really listening; I have only a little interest in the food they eat and I was playing with Sophie so I just nodded my head like I understood. I'll get leftovers when Mama nurses me anyway. I'm not too worried about missing anything there.

Soooooooo, after dinner is when the real fun begins. First, they are going to read me a few of my new Halloween books. They read to me all the time and they say I'm going to be really smart. That's a good thing, right? After that I'll let them just sit and stare at me while they say things like: "How cute is he?" and "can you believe he's ours?" and "was that just a fart or did it sound juicy to you?" I'm not really sure what any of those things mean but I know they're good because they always seem really happy with me.

At some point they will feed me and snuggle me. We'll play my music and do tummy time. We will play with my puppies too, I just love to do that. I may fill a few diapers and then the day will come to an end when they wrap me up tight and snuggle me before I lay in my bassinet for the "long sleep" (I say long sleep because that's when I go to sleep for like 8-10 hours. Mama and Daddy say this is really nice of me, so I guess it's a good thing.)

So, you see, I've planned a nice night for them and will let them play with me all night long. I just love my Mama and Daddy so much. I mean, they do everything for me. I'm never sad so I think the least I could do would be to let them do all my favorite things tonight, right?

Okay, that's all from me for now. I'm thinking I need a nap but first I can probably get Mama to read me Corduroy's Halloween. Have you read it? It's awesome! Sometimes, I'll grab at one of the pages with what Mama calls "showing an interest in reading" and she will get really excited. Usually if I "show interest" she'll read me several more books in a row!! I guess if I want to read Clifford and the Halloween Parade too, I better "show interest."
