I had a really great weekend. On Saturday evening I met my friend Claire at Borders for coffee. One cup of coffee turned into about 2 hours of catching up and socializing... so much fun!Sunday afternoon, I met two of my favorite people in the whole world at Uno's for lunch. We all became friends in Grad School and the were pretty much inseparable. Unfortunately, we all live in different areas; Marge in Northampton, MA and Derek in Center Barnstead, NH. So, to have all of the stars align, and share lunch (even for just a few hours) was such a treat for me.
It's funny, we are so different, from completely different walks of life, but we adore each other and can have a conversation about anything with out letting our personal beliefs color the conversation. It must be quite the freak show to watch the three of us have a conversation. We compete to see who can be the most shocking, and all of us being therapists, call each other on the carpet constantly and it doesn't rock the boat because we are so right about each other. Plus, whenever we are having a conversation, it is usually all three of us talking at the same time.
At one point I was telling a story, and Marge starts laughing at me and says, "You are such a drama queen." She was so right, and only a really good friend can say that and get away with it ;)
