Toby: 9 Months

Okay, so... again I'm a little behind the 8-ball. Not that any of you really hold it against me (except McPepe, who teases me when I am not right on top of the blog!) So here it is, a little late, but better late than never. On February 23rd Mr. Mister turned 9 months old. It's impossible. Not true. I didn't have a baby 9 months ago. Blink of an eye, I tell ya.

So, here are his most recent stats:

• Toby has had 2007 diaper changes.
• Still no television for my little dude. I'm going to see how long we can go. Not that it would be easy for him to watch anyway because we only have a 19 inch flat screen in our bedroom and we have zero options for cable. Plus Toby is just starting to master his pincer grip; I seriously doubt he could work a remote. We fired our TV a long time ago. (Fired as in we completely removed it from our house.)
• Between his 8-9 month, he slept without his swaddle for the first time. Aaron was seriously a nervous wreck and didn't sleep all night. He just kept checking on Toby. It was sweet.
• Drum roll...  HE SLEPT IN HIS CRIB and he SLEEPS in his crib. In his nursery! Yeah, you know the one we spent MONTHS and THOUSANDS of dollars remodeling. He's finally in the nursery. I don't know why we waited. We put him in it, sang goodnight to him, and he slept right through the night without any problem.
• He signed the word "more" for the first time.
• This month he tried black beans, mango, peaches, green beans and infant cookies.
• He hummed a song. Yeah. Not kidding. He HUMMED and even changed the octaves of his voice. One of my BFF's can vouch to this. It was at her house. Right, Steph?
• He still sleeps through the night.
• He is babbling a TON. I can even make out a few words... but none officially until his 9th+ month.
• He crawls backwards (that has since changed- spoiler alert for 9+ month report!)
• As of his 8-9 month no teeth. BUT, I know for a FACT that will change (hint!)

Updates on Mama and Daddy:

• So, you know how I said I resigned from teaching? Yeah... that lasted a whole 6 months. I've agreed to teach again in the fall.
• Aaron is busy with school and side jobs.
• We are gearing up for Mr. Mister's baptism this weekend. I can honestly admit that I'm a psycho about the details right now. No big deal.
• I am exactly 2.2 pounds away from my pre-Toby weight.
• Aaron is knee deep in projects for Toby's FIRST birthday. It's going to be amazing.
• This has been a busy month for me with bridal planning. I'm in two weddings this year. Busy girl!
• Work is going great for me. As you know, I recently became the director of a new substance abuse program at our private practice. It's getting busy and I have successfully furnished two offices and a waiting room. I hired two highly qualified staff and the phone is ringing off the hook with referrals (which is great for business!)
