Toby: 7 Months

Holy crap! I have been terribly behind in posting about Mr. Mister. I am JUST NOW updating on his 7th month and in less than two weeks he's going to be 8 months old. Where does the time go? I can't believe 7 months have passed and our little man has been with us for so long! He is gigantic. Okay, so, not gigantic but, he is 18.4 pounds and 29 inches long. Crazy!

So December 23rd, Toby turned 7 months old. Here are his stats and some recent pictures:

  • He has had 1579 diaper changes since he was born.
  • When he turned 7 months old I stopped nursing. It was a tough decision but it made sense for him and me.
  • He still sleeps through the night (and yes, in a crib in our room... still. We have epically failed in moving him into his nursery!)
  • This month he has tried peas, pumpkin, apples, sweet potatoes and bananas.
  • He met Santa.
  • He celebrated his first Christmas.
  • He went in his first ride on his new sled.
  • He became a champ at rolling in both directions!
  • He went to his first sign language class (he's going to be super smart, you know.)
  • No toofers yet... but very soon he'll probably lose his gummy smile!

Updates on Mama/Daddy:

  • We began planning his 1st birthday party. Yes, it is still a long way away but you know I put on one hell of a party. I won't divulge any of the precious details here but, it is going to be completely over the top and ridiculously elaborate.
  • I took a semester off from teaching. It was a hard decision but I just felt I needed more time at home. Let us not forget, I am the acting CEO of the Molloy household. I have many responsibilities (okay, who are we kidding, I'm incredibly anal and refuse to delegate so I do everything myself.)
  • Aaron is busy, busy, busy. His students keep him on his toes and he's doing a lot other work on the side (we have to keep our kid in diapers, you know!)
  • Our first Christmas as "a family" was perfect. Toby pretty much had no clue what was happening, but we were lunatics. It was just too precious.
That's all for now. In 2 weeks, Mr. Mister will be 8 months old, so I wanted to get this posted in time.

Really, guys, you should see him. He's just so delicious, smart, funny and sweet. He's a very loving little guy!

Both of the babies in the picture above *think* they came from my womb. Can you guess which one actually did? (and trust me, if you saw how attached both are to me you'd really have a hard time answering correctly.) But, in all seriousness, aside from Sophie the giraffe, Manny is Toby's very most favoritist thing ever.
